Why Polk School District?

  • Polk School District is a dynamic public school district located in Polk County, Georgia. We serve over 7,800 students across eleven schools throughout the Polk County community. This includes two high schools, one college and career academy, two middle schools, and six elementary schools.

  • Miles Minge

          Miles Minge is a 2017 graduate of Cedartown High School, and a 2021 First Honor Graduate from the University of Georgia.  UGA First Honor Graduates are graduates completing a Bachelor's degree while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Miles was only one out of six students from the Class of 2021 at UGA to earn this honor. While at UGA, Miles majored in Sports Management with a minor in Business. He will be returning to the University of Georgia in the Spring of 2022 to pursue a Master's degree in Kinesiology. 

    Congratulations Miles! We can not wait to see what great things are in your future! We are #PSDproud!

  • Jesse Anderson 

    Polk School District is PROUD to recognize 2021 graduate of Cedartown High School, Mr. Jesse Anderson. Upon graduation, Jesse joined the Air Force and has been at Lackland Air Force Base for the past eight and a half weeks completing Basic Military Training (BMT). This past Thursday, September 9, 2021, Jesse graduated from Basic Training! Thank you for your service to our country and community! We are #PSDProud!
