Greetings! My name is Kellie Woods, and this is my first year at Cedartown Middle School. I have eighteen years of teaching experience, all of which have been at Trion High School.
I am very passionate about teaching and constantly strive to make the learning process meaningful for my students.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two grown children: my son is twenty-seven and married, my daughter is twenty-three and will be getting married May 2021. I love animals, especially dogs. I enjoy traveling to most any destination, but my favorite place on earth is definitely Walt Disney World! I would love to visit all of the MLB baseball parks as well. I am also learning how to be a beekeeper; however, I tend to watch more than participate because I do not enjoy being stung. OUCH!
My teaching philosophy is simple: I believe ALL students can learn. It is my responsibility to determine HOW my students learn so that I can provide them with what they need in order to be successful. A teacher is a leader, a communicator, a nurturer, a mediator, a listener, and an observer. A teacher's job is never done; however, if students leave the classroom today more prepared for what lies ahead tomorrow, that teacher has made a difference.
