Hello! My name is Sandie Smith. To get to know me I would like to tell you that I was born and raised in Polk County. I lived in Cedartown for the first 26 years of my life. I moved to Rockmart in 1997 and have been here ever since. I have a 13 year old daughter, Canaan, that attends Rockmart Middle School. I also have a 7 year old son, Micah, who attends Eastside.
I have officially become a veteran teacher. This is my 17th year teaching. I started out at Westside in Cedartown many years ago. Then I went to Euharlee and have been at Eastside the last 13 years. I have taught PreK, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade. I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at Berry College, in Rome, Ga. Then I went on to earn my masters degree and educational specialist degree in Early Childhood Education at Jacksonville University.
Teaching is my passion. I absolutely love it. Children are my heart. I love them dearly!
