Directed Studies teacher, Christy Sisneros, has started a performing arts program after school where students from selected grade levels help create parodies of pop songs. For the past two months, fifth graders were given the opportunity to become singers, dancers, directors, and actors on selected days after school. They were taught how to use the apps Garage Band and iMovie to help Mrs. Sisneros complete the parody she had written over the concept of long division. The long division parody can be found on Mrs. Sisneros’ YouTube page and Mrs. Sisneros’ online classroom. Be looking for her next parody which will include performers from 3rd and 4th grade.
