Internet Use

We are pleased to announce the installation of a new PSD Content Filter for our internet. We will be able to track and document inappropriate use of the internet. This will be accomplished whether this is a school device or a personal device. Be aware that deleting data on these devices will not delete data from the content filter. This will be done in real time as well as storing this data. Inappropriate use of the PSD internet will result in severe consequences beginning immediately.

Congratulations to our RHS FBLA members who attended the Region Conference at North Paulding High School.

Georgia Parent Survey

Georgia is the first state in the nation to include school climate as an early indicator in its academic accountability system, the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).  The School Climate Star Rating is a diagnostic tool to determine if a school is on the right path to school improvement.  The climate rating is made up of four main components:  School Climate, Student Discipline, Safe and Substance-Free Learning Environment, and Attendance.  Students, Parents, and Teachers are requested to complete surveys to assist in determining the first component - School Climate.  Please take a moment to complete the survey for your child's school.

Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Ms. Tia Ware, the RHS Teacher of the Year!

Learner's License and Driver's License

Remember that you must have a Certificate of Enrollment when you go to get your Learner's License. When you go to get your Driver's License, you must have both a Certificate of Enrollment and an ADAP form.  These forms are available in the main office from Mrs. Gamel, but there is a 24 hour turnaround time to prepare them. Please make sure that you request these forms in plenty of time before your appointment. Make sure that you plan ahead around school holidays.

PowerSchool

Parents: Please make sure to set up a PowerSchool account to check your child's grades and attendance. You can pick up user ID information in the main office.

Click here for a instructions on how to set up the PowerSchool parent account.

Tardy Policy

Students are expected to be on time to school and to class. Students are allowed three tardies per school year. (There is no distinction between a tardy to school or a tardy to class – they are viewed the same.) Upon the fourth tardy and each tardy thereafter, the student will receive detention (morning, lunch, or afternoon). Should the student accumulate 8 tardies, he/she will receive 1 day of ISS.

Student Check Out Deadline

Parents: Due to the traffic concerns, there will be no student check outs through the main office after 2:45 each day. Please keep this new policy in mind when scheduling after school appointments.
