Mobile Minds University 2015

We are excited to announce PSD will host the 2nd annual Mobile Minds University, July 20-22, 2015, at Westside Elementary School. PSD is transforming learning through technology by engaging the MOBILE MINDS in our classrooms.  We will be providing 32 sessions in specific content areas to help teachers create innovative lessons as we continue to transform delivery of instruction with engaging technology lessons. REGISTER HERE to attend. Registration is open ONLY to PSD employees until April 18th. After that date, it will be open to the public & PSD employees.

2015 Graduation Information

Cedartown High School Graduation Ceremony

General InfoThe graduation ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Graduates MUST be at the girl’s field house at 9:00 a.m. sharp for dress code check. Students who do not meet dress code requirements at that time will be given a quick opportunity to change and/or make arrangements to change so that they can participate in the graduation ceremony. Those who refuse to abide by the dress code will not walk. Graduation is a formal, respected ceremony and should be treated with the dignity it deserves.

Congratulations to the 2014-2015 CHS STAR Student, Leo Rodriguez!  Leo Rodriguez chose Mrs. Camille Whitfield as his STAR Teacher. They were both honored at a ceremony held at CHS on February 5th.

Community WiFi Hot Spots

WiFi Hot Spots Now Available

The following churches/organizations have agreed

to offer wi-fi hot spots weekly, beginning January 12, 2015:

Monday: Cedar Ridge Church (5-7 p.m.), Victory Church (4-6 p.m.) and Polk Haralson Life Center (4-6 p.m.)

Tuesday:  Polk Haralson Life Center (4-6 p.m.)

Wednesday: Cedar Ridge Church (4-6:30 p.m.)

Thursday:  Cedar Ridge Church (5-7 p.m.) and Victory Church (4-6 p.m.)

UP (United Polk) Student Ministries is providing the free WiFi accessibility to help students complete weekly homework assignments, which require connections to the Internet. Students are expected to follow the same Internet policies and guidelines outlined by the Polk School District in the Student Code of Conduct handbook.

Flexible Learning Program

The Flexible Learning Program (FLP) is available to all students. Times are as follows: Math (Mondays and Wednesdays 3:25-4:30), Reading (Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:25-4:30), and Science (Mondays – Thursdays 7:15 – 7:55 a.m.).
