Hello and welcome to my online classroom! My name is Wesley Cupp, and I am thrilled to be the principal of Rockmart High School. I am a 1994 graduate of Cedartown High School, and I am so happy to be back in Polk County, especially to serve as principal. This school year starts my ninetenth year in education. I have taught in Massachussetts, Arkansas, and Cartersville, Georgia. While in Cartersville, I served as a high school teacher and coach before eventually becoming an administrator and the director of the Cartersville Primary School's Pre-K Program. I am married to Jennifer, an English teacher at Cedartown High School, and we have two dogs, Daisy and Libby.
I am so honored to lead this talented and dedicated staff and group of students, and I look forward to the amazing opportunities that the 2016-2017 school year holds. This year, we will be doing some exciting things with our students. Now, more than ever, we will be focusing on a blended learning approach with technology and instruction. We will strive to provide students with a caring and challenging environment that will serve as the catalyst for success in education and their careers. We, at Rockmart High School, take great pride in providing our students with a safe, friendly, and challenging learning environment which consists of rigorous instruction, a strong curriculum, and integrated technology.
