After graduating from Cedartown High School, I attended UGA where I earned my Bachlor's Degree in English Education. I taught one year in Hinesville, Georgia at Bradwell Institute but returned to Polk County the following year. I then obtained my Master's in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University. I taught at Rockmart High School for seven years, and transferred from Cedartown High School after seven years. I have taught all levels and grades at the high school and two years expereince in the 6th grade classroom. I am married to Clint Jones, teacher at Rockmart High School, and I have three daughters: Lindsey, Edy and Margaux.
