Hello! My name is Ann Smith. I am beginning my 30th year of teaching all of which have been with Polk School District. For 23 years, I taught at Westside Elementary. While at Westside, I taught 3rd grade, 1st grade, and Kindergarten. In 2010, I was transferred to the new Youngs Grove Elementary where I continue to teach kindergarten. I love teaching and knowing that I get to make a difference in the lives of children.
I am a native of Cedartown and graduate of Cedartown High School. I did venture out of Cedartown for four years to attend Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee. From Carson-Newman, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. In addition, I received a Master’s and Educational Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia.
In June, my husband Eddie and I celebrated our 28thWedding Anniversary. We have one daughter, Elizabeth who is a Freshman at the University of Georgia. We attend church at Second Baptist Cedartown where I volunteer in the Church Nursery and help teach Children’s Church. When I have free time, I enjoy reading and doing fun things with my family.
Thanks For Visiting My Website!
