"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin
Hi, my name is Natoshia Tyquiengco and I am new to Eastside this school year. This is my sixth year teaching special education and I have worked with grades K-8th. I am from Rockmart, but have spent the past 5 years of my career on the Cedartown side. I am very excited to be returning home!! I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2011 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and from Walden University with my Masters in Special Education in 2017. I am currently working on my Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction at Piedmont College.
As a child I always wanted to be a teacher. I can honestly say that I have my dream job! I am beyond excited to get to know my each and every one of my students, academically and personally. I am a firm believer that you must get to know our students on a personal level to help them reach their fullest potential academically. I am a teacher who believes in structure but I also believe that the only way to truly learn is to make it fun! It is an honor and a pleasure to teach your child and promise to love and treat them as if they were mine own.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact me via phone, text, or email.
*Please sign up from my ClassDojo in order to instant message me, see how your child is doing in my class, and see photos from our class. Information on how to do so is located on the "ClassDojo" tab.
