My name is Joy Hindman.
I have received a B.S. degree in education from Southeastern Bible College and a master's degree in reading and literacy from Walden University.
I am beginning my 14th year of teaching in Polk School District. Before moving to Georgia I taught in Alabama and Tennessee. My entire teaching career has been spent teaching first, second, and third graders.
This year I will be teaching English Language Arts. I am excited of the opportunity of being able to entirely focus on all that goes into our literacy block here in third grade.
I enjoy teaching young learners. It is my goal to make this a time to build on my students' knowledge, to help them develop good self esteem, and to create a desire to become a life long learner.
