Join Us as We Transform Our Learning!

Hello everyone, my name is Mrs. Bennett. Thank you for taking the time to visit my online classroom. I am going to begin by telling you a few things about myself. I have been teaching in Polk School District for twelve years. I am married and reside with my husband Ricky in Aragon. I have one son, a daughter-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter named Alexus Rose.

After being a "stay at home mom," I decided to further my education and fulfill a life long desire to teach. I graduated in 2005 from the University of West Georgia and obtained highly qualified certification in reading and mathematics. After teaching for a couple of years, I continued my education and received a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy. This degree has enabled me to implement many different strategies on how to reach the struggling reader. It has also provided me with many insights into encouraging  the accomplished reader as well. I LOVE to make reading fun! It is my desire that every child leave my classroom with an innate desire to read.

I am so excited about our upcoming school year. There are many exciting things happening in the classroom with our technology. Each student will have the opportunity to transform their learning through the use of iPads and the web. We live in an ever changing world and I am so proud to be a part of helping your child become a successful and productive citizen. Please join me and let's work together to make this a great school year.

Mission - Develop productive citizens in a changing world

It is my mission that in cooperation with parents I will provide quality educational opportunities for all students, promote academic excellence in a safe and caring environment, enhance self confidence through personal responsibility, and to develop life-long learners who will be productive citizens in a diverse and changing world.
