My name is Heather Ball. I am a native of Cedartown and have lived here for most of my life. I am a 1997 graduate of Cedartown High School and a 2003 graduate of Jacksonville State University where I completed my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education with an add-on in Secondary English, Social Studies and Science. I have been teaching for 13 years. I began my teaching career at Westside Elementary School in January of 2004 in Special Education. The following year I began teaching second grade where I taught for two years. I then moved to kindergarten where I stayed for five years. In 2010, I started a new journey as I began teaching at Youngs Grove. While there I taught the Early Intervention Program, Third Grade Social Studies and Science and Fourth and Fifth Grade Social Studies. I now call Northside my home and teach the Early Intervention Program.
Philosophy of Education
I believe today's children are our future. I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Through teaching I will help children develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will also assist children in discovering who they are and help them reach personal goals.
