After growing up and attending elementary, middle and high schools in Cedartown, my heart’s desire was to serve here. I was given the opportunity to begin my teaching career at Northside Kindergarten in 1997, and then in 1998, I transferred to Westside Elementary where I have served for the last 20 years. I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a B.S. in Early Childhood, and attained my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from Jacksonville State University. I am beginning my 21st year in this awesome profession. I taught 14 years in kindergarten and this current year begins my seventh year teaching third grade.
I am blessed with two beautiful children. My daughter attends Cedartown High and my son is a student at Cedartown Middle.
My educational philosophy: Each student I teach holds a special place in my heart. I have discovered through the years that each child desires a need to succeed. I strive to provide a safe learning environment for all of my students. This is required for achievement to take place. I expect each child to give 100%, as I do myself.
