It is my personal goal to both encourage and help my students reach their full potential. I teach in the area of Exceptional Students, therefore I work with students on many different levels, with various abilities and deficits. They often face many types of physical and learning challenges.  I believe that developing a relationship with my students  lets them know how much I care for them and motivates them want to work more diligently toward their goals. These goals are kept before my students as a reminder of what I know they are capable of doing. I have witnessed students enter the school year class as poor readers and had the joy of seeing them exit with the ability to read and be successful in the general education classroom many times. There is no greater joy for an educator than to know you may have made a difference in your students' lives.

I often come across former students that I have taught over the last 20 years working in various places of business in our community who are successful employees and held in high regard by their employers. This makes me very proud of them and the progress they continue to make in their lives.

I do not take for granted how blessed I am to be called to teach. It is not a blessing I take lightly,  to be able to do a job daily that I love. I love motivating students who are disheartened to tackle assignments with their various disabilities that others do not have to deal with. I believe that my attitude determines the attitude of my classroom. There is no better job in the world!

I can be reached during my planning between 11:30 - 12:30  at 770 746 5614. Feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns about your child.

My name is Cathy McBryde and I have been working in the area of Exceptional Students spanning multiple areas of needs for 20 years. I enjoy seeing the progress these students can make once diagnosed and given the tools they need to learn. I currently work with various grade levels with a focus on Reading and Math.

I have a daughter, two sons, two grandsons, and three granddaughters. I am blessed with a wonderful son in law and daughter in law.

My goal is to make every day a new learning experience for my students. My desire is to help my students focus on their strengths and improve their weaknesses.
