I believe that every child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as a teacher to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
My name is LeAnna Morton. I am teaching 7th grade English Language Arts this year and reading connections. This is my fourth year teaching, but first year at CMS. I have taught the past three years in Bartow County. I graduated from Shorter University with my Bachelor of Science in Education in 2013. I am currently working on my Master of Science in Education with an edorsement in leadership at Kennesaw State Univeristy. I currently reside in Cedartown with my husband, whom is a firefighter for the Cedartown Fire Department. We are expecting our first child in June and have one precious puppy named Ella Grace. I am also an assistant coach for the football/competition cheerleading team. I love watching college football and am a huge Florida Gators fan. Go Gators! I also love to go to the beach and spend time with my family. An interesting fact about me is that I have met Tim Tebow!
