Lesson plans Day 1

 

 

Standard 3-students will demonstrate the ability to access valid information and products and services to enhance health.
 
Standard 4-demonstrate the ability to use interpersonal communication skills to enhance health.
 
Standard 8- demonstrate the ability to advocate for personal, family, and community health.

 

 

E.Q.: What are communicable diseases and how can they be prevented?

 

Warm up: T.P.S.  2 min. - Look on pg. 628 and read the definition of communicable diseases. Think about any experiences you have had with communicable diseases. 2 min. - Pair up with someone and discuss.2 min. -  Share with class

 

 

Procedure:  10 min. - Nearpod presentation to introduce communicable diseases 
                     5 min. - socrative quiz over communicable diseases.
                    20 min. - Pair students high to low using socrative scores. Student will create an aurasma over the following topics. Viruses, bacteria, other pathogens, disease spread by direct contact, disease spread by indirect contact, disease spread by airborne transmission, taking precautions, 

 

 


Summary: class discussion.
