Third Grade Reading Info

These books will be read and discussed in class.  Once we begin each book, there will many activities and notes in your child's interactive reading notebook that they can take home for extra help at home.

All stories may not be read by every child.  Books are not "one-size fits all", so stories that fit your child's needs will be the books they read in class.

The levels of the books are based on Lexile levels.  Target lexile levels for third graders are 550 in the beginning up to 850 by the end of the year! :)

All reading assignments completed from home need to be signed off by students' reading helper in their agendas or on their homework menu calendars.  You can check to see the lexile levels of the books you're reading at home on Lexile.com
