Obstinately- (adv.) Unwilling to change your opinions or actions

Waft- (v.) to move about lightly, carried by a wave or wind

Incinerator- (n.) a machine that burns garbage

Pander- (v.) to encourage the bad behavior of someone else

Gallantly (adv.)- Polite and attentive

Precipice (n.) a steep or high part of a mountian 

 

What to study:

  1. Veruca's parents were sent in the trash with her because they are the ones who spoiled her.

  2. Mike was excited about what happened to him, unlike the other children.  His father was angry.

  3. Willy Wonka gave the factory to a child becasue an adult would have done it thier own way, not Wonka's way.

  4. How the children changed in the factory

    1. Agustus Gloop went in fat & gluttonous, and came out thin

    2. Violet Beauregard went in normal but disrespectful, and came out purple

    3. Veruca Salt went in spoiled, but came out nicer & covered in trash

    4. Mike Teavee went in short & addicted to TV, but came out stretched 

    5. Charlie went in poor and came out the owner of the whole factory
