Get Portfolio.  Take out Activator Computer Paper.

TODAYS ACTIVATOR  You are going to work on a HALF page today.  Orient your paper in a horozontal/landscape manner.  Go in to PowerSchool and find your average in Art.  Using Roman Numerals draw that numbers large enough that it fills the Half page.  Complete in 10 minutes and place in portfolio.

All STUDENTS!!  NEW PROJECT: WATERCOLOR PAINTING OF STILL LIFE - Each student will take a close up photograph of the Still Life I have located in the front of the classroom.  Bring me photographed image for approval.  You will receive watercolor paper on which to paint that Still Life image you have captured with Watercolor Paints.

Watercolor Painting Etiquette - ALWAYS ID YOUR PAPER IN UPPER RIGHT CORNER BEFORE BEGINNING.  Wash brushes before use, after use, and place with bristles up in Brush Stands. Mix colors in Palette, NOT in paints pots.  Rinse out water cups and place upside down to drain.  Damp paintings need to be placed on drying rack.

Carefully read directions for your Section.


Art I & IV - Use captured image and paint making colors as realistic as possible.

Art II - Use captured image and using a cool color scheme:  blue, green, and purple.

Art III - Use captured image and paint using a warm color scheme:  yellow, red, and orange.
