Study Island Teacher Resources

Teacher Login:  username: school email  -  password:  teacher
Student Login:  username:  lunch#@c  -  password:  student

*If you find that a student does not have a Study Island Login - Email:  lcox@polk.k12.ga.us
I will add the student and email you their login information ASAP*

Study Island Overview:
Study Island is a rigorous subject area specific question/answer program that covers standards for grade level subject areas in a student friendly format.

Teacher Use:
- You can log in to your teacher account and print paper versions of any lesson/activity:
   1. Log in to your teacher account (username: school email - password: teacher)
   2. Click "GA Programs"
   3. Select your grade level
   4. Select your subject area
   5. Select the topic/standard you wish to view/show
   6. Select printable worksheets
- You can pull lessons/activities up on your smart board/Apple TV and answer questions as a whole group:
   1. Log in to your teacher account (username: school email - password: teacher)
   2. Click "GA Programs"
   3. Select your grade level
   4. Select your subject area
   5. Select the topic/standard you wish to view/show
   6. Select the format you wish to view/show (lesson, practice, game mode, etc.)
- You can create your classes - be sure to name them Grade-Teacher-Period (Ex: 6-Cox-1):
   1. Log in to your teacher account
   2. Click "Class Manager"
   3. Click "Add New Class"
   4. Name your class (Class Title): in the format: Grade-Teacher=Period (Ex:  6-Cox-1)
   5. *Override School Preferences to allow game mode (slide "No" to "Yes")
   6. Click the + sign beside your grade level
   7. Put a check mark beside each student in your class
   8. Scroll all the way down - click "Save"
   9. Scroll all the way down - click "Return to Class Manager"
   10. Repeat steps 3-9 for each class period you have
- You can print reports by student, class, or grade level:
   1. Log in to your teacher account
   2. Click "School Reports"
   3. Click icon for the report type you wish to view/print
   4. Select your desired information from the drop down menus
   5. Select print
- You can search/locate student usernames/passwords:
   1. Log in to your teacher account
   2. Click "Teacher Page"
   3. Click Password List
   4. Select grade/class from drop down menu for whole group list of logins (classes will only show up unless they have created them) or search by student last name for individual logins

Student Use (have your students):
1. go to PSD Website 
2. select Schools Tab (top)
3. choose CMS  from drop down menu
4. click Study Island Icon
5. type Username (their lunch number@c)
6. type Password (student)
7. click Sign-In
8. click GA Programs
9. select grade level and subject area from drop down menus
10. click the topic/standard of study
11. select the format  (lesson, practice, game mode, etc.)
**Be sure to remind your students:
1. they need to watch the lesson first (they can go back to the lesson as often as necessary - the tab stays open)
2. they need try their best the first time - because the scores are an average of their practice each session
3. they should click "end study session" when finished - do not click the "x" to exit out of the program - it will average the remainder of questions unanswered as "0's"
4. they need to do at least 10 questions and maintain a 70 average in order to gain a "blue ribbon"
