XVIII. Tennis

Middle school matches will use the USTA Junior Team Tennis Format*.  Each team should have no more than 10 players (you need 4 boys and 4 girls per match)

Teams may compete in 60% of the matches allowed in varsity competition.

An end of the season tournament will be held to determine the champions.

Area Tournament:

All teams must play each other throughout the season.

If a school fields more than one team, they will be seen as Team A and Team B and will count as individual teams and will be eligible for the tournament.

Overall team wins shall determine seeding--teams will receive a point for each match win (ex. Model defeats Armuchee 4-1).

Tournament will be a one day event scheduled at the Rome Tennis Center

In the event of a tie:

  1. Head to Head wins will determine the winner

  2. Individual wins within the match will determine the winner.

  3. Individual games won will determine the winner.
