My philosophy of teaching includes much more than just "teaching". I believe that children should be loved and respected. Once a child believes that they are loved and respected, they are more likely to open their minds to learning. Unfortunately, children enter classrooms all around the world feeling unloved and incapable of great things. Part of my job as a teacher is to show them that they are loved and very capable of reaching their dreams, no matter how much money they have, the color of their skin, or any other type of situation. I also believe that it is important to teach children that it is ok to not be successful at everything as long as they try hard, work hard, and never give up. Carol Buchner, Maya Angelou, and others once said' "They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel".
