Some Microorganisms are Parasites. They cause damage to plants and animals that surround them. 

Infectious Disease
Some microorganisms cause diesease in people by destroying cells directly.  Bacteria produces poisons that cause toxins. 
examples:
Pneumonia - bacteria that attacks the cells in the lungs
Streptococcus - "strep" bacteria that attacks cells in the throat causes strep. 

Foodborne Illness  _ 
Bacteria that lives in uncooked meats, raw eggs,a nd other foods. 
Most common foodbourne illness are 
E.Coli and Salmonella

Harmful Fungi
Microorganisms that harm plant life and humans
Parasites - a host organism that causes harm to plant life
Ex: Athlete's foot - harmful fungus, found in damp places and lives on skin. symptoms like itching and blisters between toes. 

Protists
Parasitic Protist can acuse health problems.
Ex: Malaria - well-known disease that spreads form one person to another through
