These are the standards we are working on for GAA this year:

1. English Language ArtsELAGSE8RL1: Cite the textual evidence that supports analysis of what the text says explicitly as     well as inferences drawn from the text.

ELAGSE7W2:  Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content. b. Develop the topic with relevant facts, definitions, concrete details, quotations, or other information and examples.

2. Math- MGSE7.EE.1- Apply properties of operations as strategies to add, subtract, factor, and expand linear expressions with rational coefficients

MGSE7.SP.1- Understand that statics can be used to gain information about a population by examining a sample of the population; generalizations about a population from a sample are valid only if the sample is representative of that population. Understand that random sampling tends to produce representative samples and support valid inferences.

1. ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS- ELAGSE8RL1: Cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.

2. ELAGSE8W2:  Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content. b. Develop the topic with relevant, well-chosen facts, definitions, concrete details, quotations, or other information and examples.

3. MATH- MGSE8.EE.7a Give examples of linear equations in one variable with one solution, infinitely many solutions, or no solutions. Show which of these possibilities is the case by successively transforming the given equation into simpler forms, until an equivalent equation of the form ?? = ??, ?? = ??, or ?? = ?? results (where ?? and ?? are different numbers).

MGSE8.SP.1 Construct and interpret scatter plots for bivariate measurement data to investigate patterns of association between two quantities. Describe patterns such as clustering, outliers, positive or negative association, linear association, and nonlinear association.

4. SCIENCE- S8P1. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the structure and properties of matter.  c. Plan and carry out investigations to compare and contrast chemical (i.e. reactivity, combustibility) and physical properties of matter (i.e. density, melting pot, boiling point).

5. SOCIAL STUDIES-
