I am your child’s 5th grade teacher, and I am delighted to have your child in my class this year. I am looking forward to a very successful year and I know you are too. I have high expectations for your child, and I will do all that I can to help your child achieve those expectations.
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, and I have a Master’s Degree in Middle Grades Mathematics from Walden University. I have been teaching for nine years, and I love my job! Before I began my teaching career, I was a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Bradford Drug Store in Cedartown. I am married to Scott Maddox, and we have three children, Marisa, Brock and Drew. Marisa is a senior at CHS, and Brock is in second grade at Youngs Grove.
I am looking forward to meeting as well as knowing each student of my class and their parents. Throughout the school year, I may call on you for help in our classroom. I want you to feel welcome!
This year will be a challenging one for your child as compared to last year; however, I will try to make learning fun and engaging so that your child has a successful fifth grade year. Moreover, I do not just want to stick to academics. Rather, I am planning activities to develop the creative skills and interests of students. I hope to make this academic year an educational as well as a fun-filled year for the students.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone (678-901-4294) or email (email@example.com) at any time. I am looking forward to a great year!
