Attendance & Make-up Policy:       The Polk School District policy will be followed in regard to attendance.  Work missed due to an excused absence must be made up within 3 days of returning to school.  A zero will be given for work that is not made up within the specified time and for work that is missed due to an unexcused absence.

Retest Policy:             Any student failing a test has the option of taking a retest on the same course objective provided the student completes a set of remediation problems accurately. You may only retake one test per nine weeks.  That means that only two tests can be retaken per semester.  This is a new Polk School District policy.

Homework Policy:                 Homework will be assigned daily.  A notebook is required.  All work and handouts should be labeled and kept in the notebook.  Daily work will be accepted only one day late, with the possibility to earn a 70 as the highest grade unless a student is absent.  It is highly encouraged to turn assignments in on time so that a student stays on task.

Cell Phones:                           All cell phones are to be placed either in your book bag or in your pocket during class.  They are not to be placed on your desk or in your lap.  Cell phones are not to be seen in the classroom at all.  No headphones will be used during classroom instructional time.
