Character traits are the words that describe the personality of the character. They tell us the type of person the character is. We learn the traits of characters from what they do, what they say, and from what others say about them. As your child reads the story each night, ask your child to find traits that give a better understanding of a character. Students will identify the setting of the story and the sequence of events as well.
