I understand that many of our students do not have access to electronic devices and/or internet service at home. I also understand that these things are very expensive and parents/guardians may not be able to provide them for their children. The website links below are used in my classroom to help build important literacy skills. They are provided to keep you informed about what your child is learning in ESOL class.
Many students and teachers have missed Accelerated Reader this year. Book Adventure uses books from our Media Center. Your child can read books by their favorite authors at home and take a test on that book at school! It is not necessary to have an electronic device or internet service at home for your child to use Book Adventure. As often as the internet at school is working and I have an available computer, your child may take a test on their library book in my class.
Book Adventure is a fun, free way to motivate your child
to read! Kids in grades K-8 can search for books, read
them offline, come back to quiz on what they’ve read,
and earn prizes for their reading success.
