  • WHAT ARE WE DOING IN MUSIC?

EQ: What is pitch, rhythm, and tempo?

We have been working on reading various rhythms.  We have been working on whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and pairs of eighth notes.  The students have drawn them, clapped them, counted them, and put them together into four count groups.

The students have also worked in various centers in the room.  They include rhythm games, computer lab, keyboard lab, smart board activities, and Lummi Stick(rhythm sticks).

We are currently working on reading pitches on the treble clef and playing them on various instruments.  The students get to perform in small groups and as a class.
