  • This Week in ELA......

We are so excited to be going to the movies to watch this story, Wonder, come to life!!!

We are learning important lessons about acceptance, kindness, and being yourself in our novel, Wonder. This is a story of a 10 yr old boy, Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face. Every reader will come away with valuable lessons on the courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for who proves that you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.

We will focus on the author's use of language in describing the setting, characters, and events in the story. Students will practice using figurative language, commas and conjunctions in a sentence, as well as identifying point of view.
