Homeroom is VERY important!
It is your time to get organied.
You get to eat your breakfast.
Go to your locker.
Go to the restroom
Sharpen your pencils.
Relax a minute from that argument with little brother who hid your shoe ...... you are at school now, so enjoy the rest of the day!
Reminder: There is a new attendance policy and tardy policy. The rules are much stricter this year. Please read up on these.
- Cell Phone Policy
Cell Phones and head phones will not be alloweed in school unless specified by teachers at designated times.
The following will be how these offenses will be handled:
1. a verbal warning
2. Teacher will collect for the day
3. Parent has to come up to the school and retrieve the headphones or cell phone from the front office.
- Requirements to receive Ipads
Student must have cell phone policy and other first of the year papers turned in to the office before they will be allowed to use these devises.
The students will not be taking iPads home this year. The teachers will be assigned iPads to the class and then assign each student one to use per class.
Student who is using the iPad in that class is still responsible for the iPad and maintaining the safety and proper use of it (educational purposes only).
If student abuses these priveldges, and plays games, goes to inappropriate sites, then they will lose the use of an iPad for a set amount of time.
- Study Blue
There is an app for this. This is a great study tool as well. You can join for free. Create your own study guides. Some of your teachers will be using this site, app to help you along this year.
There is an app for this also. This is a great tool for helping you know your vocabulary or other material you are studying for. I will be using this one in my class, you can make your own. Set up an account!
- Games, Extra Practice, and Much More!
This is a great place to find extra help when you are stuck. Also, it is a great place to practice those skills that you know. The games are educational, but fun. "Mom, I am on my phone for school, really! Look!"
- Fact Monster
This is a great site for looking up facts in non fiction resources. Check it out.
